Sex Toy Incident Disrupts WNBA Game Between Atlanta Dream and Chicago Sky

Aug 08 2025

During the final moments of the Atlanta Dream's 86-65 win over the Chicago Sky, a sex toy landed on the court, adding to a string of bizarre occurrences at WNBA games this season.

This incident follows similar disruptions in Atlanta on July 29, Chicago just days ago, and Los Angeles earlier this week. Reports indicate that a second toy was also thrown in Atlanta, though it remains uncertain whether it made it onto the playing surface.

In a related case, a man was arrested in College Park, Georgia, after allegedly tossing a sex toy during the Dream's matchup against the Golden State Valkyries on July 29. The police report detailed that he repeated the act during a subsequent game against the Phoenix Mercury.

Charges against him include disorderly conduct, criminal trespassing, public indecency, and indecent exposure.

Meanwhile, another incident unfolded in Phoenix where an 18-year-old was taken into custody for throwing a sex toy into the crowd at a Mercury game. Witnesses reported that he retrieved the item from his sweater pocket before launching it toward spectators, hitting one individual in the back.

This young man faces allegations of assault, disorderly conduct, and publicly displaying explicit sexual material.

The WNBA has issued a stern warning: any fan who throws objects onto the court will face a minimum one-year ban and potential legal action.
