Taylor Swift Misses Travis Kelce's Thanksgiving Game Against Cowboys

Travis Kelce took to the field on Thanksgiving Day as the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Dallas Cowboys, while Taylor Swift appeared to cheer for her fiancé from afar.

On November 27, the pop icon, 35, did not attend the away game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Earlier that week, however, she was present at Kelce's home game on November 23, where the Chiefs triumphed over the Indianapolis Colts in a thrilling overtime match, improving their season record to 6-5.

Swift has been a familiar face at Kelce's home games this season, opting for a more discreet approach compared to previous years. Reports indicate that she has been making her way to her private suite without drawing attention, following concerns about the excessive media focus on her presence. Notably, she has yet to travel for any away games this season.

As they navigate Kelce's demanding NFL schedule, the couple is also embracing their first holiday season as an engaged pair after his proposal in August. An insider shared that their plans will be “very low-key, family-centric and [won’t involve any] major travel,” emphasizing their desire to spend quality time with loved ones.

With games scheduled on both Thanksgiving and Christmas, Swift and Kelce prioritize family gatherings during their downtime. “Travis fits right in with her family, and Taylor adores [his mom] Donna. They talk all the time,” a source revealed. “They make sure to see both sides as often as they can. They are super family-oriented, and they have always loved that about one another.”

Last year marked their first Thanksgiving together after Swift spent the holiday in South America for her Eras Tour. In 2024, Swift’s family hosted the Kelces in Nashville before they headed to Kansas City for a game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Looking ahead to Christmas traditions, Swift supported Kelce during his Christmas Day game against the Raiders in December 2023 but missed an away game against the Pittsburgh Steelers the following year. This Christmas, she is expected to be at Arrowhead Stadium as the Chiefs take on the Denver Broncos.

Before the holiday rush began, Swift and Kelce enjoyed a period of domestic tranquility following their engagement. “With both of their high-profile careers, it feels good to have simplicity and normalcy together,” a source noted. Another insider added, “Taylor and Travis are really chill. On a typical night in, they’re casually having dinner and figuring out what to stream. It’s very domestic and calm.”

Regarding their wedding plans, sources indicate that arrangements are “coming along.” “They are both [very] involved, and Taylor thinks it’s cute that Travis wants to help,” one insider mentioned. The couple aims to marry next summer, with Swift’s Rhode Island home being considered as a potential venue.

“They don’t want a long engagement,” the source continued, highlighting their eagerness to start a family within the next year or so. Family holds significant importance for both of them.
