Tom Brady Faces Mixed Reactions at Indy 500

May 25 2025

Tom Brady stepped onto the stage at the Indy 500 on May 25, but the reception was far from warm. As the former NFL quarterback was introduced, a chorus of boos echoed through the stands, captured in a clip shared by Indianapolis sports radio station 1075 on X.

Brady, now an analyst for Fox Sports, shared the spotlight with NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson and former NFL player Michael Strahan during the pre-race festivities. The crowd's reaction to Brady was notably loud, though not in a favorable light.

Meanwhile, Nolan Siegel made his debut at the iconic race as part of the Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team. If he clinches victory, he will set a record as the youngest driver to win the Indy 500.

“In the summer now I can go golf and play pickleball,” Siegel remarked in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly. “I have plenty of friends that live close by. Basically, the entire IndyCar field lives within 15 minutes of me, so I’ve got plenty of people to go and do things with. It’s been fun.”

Siegel's transition from California to Indiana has been an eye-opening experience, particularly regarding climate differences. “A lot of the activities that I could do in northern California are no longer options,” he said, chuckling at the adjustment.

His initial arrival coincided with winter's onset, which he described as a “bit of a shock.” Yet, Siegel has adapted and found enjoyment in his new surroundings. “I got my pilot’s license over the offseason and that’s been a new activity that I’ve really enjoyed,” he shared. “That’s been a good, fun thing to do in Indiana.”

Despite these new adventures, Siegel acknowledged some sacrifices. “There are definitely things I’ve missed out on all through school,” he confessed. “Obviously now, all of my friends are in college and I’m missing out on that.”
