Yeboah's Late Penalties Propel Minnesota to 2-1 Victory Over St. Louis
In a decisive second half, Kelvin Yeboah netted two penalties, steering Minnesota to a 2-1 triumph over St. Louis on Saturday night.
The first penalty arrived in the 75th minute, following a red card issued to Chris Durkin. Yeboah confidently struck the ball past goalkeeper Roman Bürki, finding the lower left corner.
With St. Louis reduced to ten men, Minnesota intensified their offensive efforts. A foul by Jaziel Orozco led to Yeboah's second penalty, which he executed with precision, sending the ball into the middle right zone just before stoppage time. This performance marked Yeboah's ninth goal of the season.
St. Louis managed to score through a penalty as well, with Eduard Löwen converting in the 36th minute.
Goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair recorded three saves for Minnesota, while Bürki managed to stop two shots from the opposition.
With this victory, Minnesota improved their record to 12 wins, 5 losses, and 8 draws, breaking a two-match winless streak and maintaining their position in third place within the Western Conference.

Löwen's penalty remains the sole goal for St. Louis in their last two matches, as they now hold a record of 9 wins, 11 losses, and 4 draws.
Earlier this season, Minnesota had defeated St. Louis 3-0 and boasts an impressive series record of 5 wins and 1 loss against them.
The MLS will observe a break from Sunday through August 8 for Leagues Cup matches.
