Alabama Lunch Lady Fired For Having Sex With Student at Her Home
A married lunch lady from Alabama has been fired after being caught in a scandal involving a teen student. Amy Nicole Wigginton, 41, was reportedly dismissed from her position at Lauderdale County High School in Rogersville following a unanimous decision by the district's Board of Education.

The situation escalated after Wigginton was arrested on April 4. Reports indicate that she confessed to having sexual relations with a male student on two separate occasions. Initially, she was placed on administrative leave, but the board's decision to terminate her employment came shortly after her arrest.
According to court documents, Wigginton admitted to having sex with the student on March 7 and March 31 at her home in Rogersville. The Lauderdale County School District has not yet responded to requests for comments regarding the incident.

Wigginton, who is married and has children, was identified as working in the school’s child nutrition program. While authorities have not disclosed the exact age of the student, they confirmed he is under 19 years old. In Alabama, the age of consent is 16, which adds complexity to the case.
She faces two counts of engaging in a sexual act with a student, a serious charge for any school employee. Following her arrest, Wigginton was booked at the Lauderdale County Detention Center, where she posted a $100,000 bond shortly after.

Wigginton is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on June 23, as the legal proceedings continue to unfold. The case has raised significant concerns within the community about the safety and well-being of students in educational environments.
