In a commanding display of baseball prowess, the Milwaukee Brewers triumphed over the Minnesota Twins 17-6 at Target Field on Friday night. Jacob Misiorowski, making only his second career start, dazzled fans by taking a perfect game into the seventh inning, while Christian Yelich etched his name in franchise history with a remarkable eight RBIs.

Misiorowski's performance was historic; he became the first pitcher since 1900 to begin his major league career with 11 consecutive hitless innings as a starter. His previous outing against St. Louis saw him throw five no-hit innings before exiting due to cramping in his right calf and quadriceps.

The towering right-hander, standing at 6-foot-7, showcased an impressive arsenal, striking out six batters with a fastball that reached speeds of 102.1 mph, complemented by a slider and changeup in the mid-90s range.

However, the momentum shifted in the seventh inning when Misiorowski walked Byron Buxton. Matt Wallner then launched an 0-1 pitch into the flower bed above the right field wall, marking the end of Misiorowski's night. He exited to a standing ovation from a crowd that included a significant number of Brewers supporters.

Having thrown 86 pitches, with 60 finding the strike zone, Misiorowski left the game with Milwaukee leading 8-2. His performance was a highlight in a game that saw the Brewers score 16 runs in the final four innings.

Yelich's contributions were pivotal; he recorded bases-clearing doubles in both the seventh and eighth innings, along with RBI singles in the sixth and ninth. Notably, he became the first player since the inception of RBIs as an official statistic in 1920 to drive in eight runs without hitting a home run, according to OptaSTATS.

This victory pushed Milwaukee six games above .500 for the season, while the Twins faced their seventh loss in eight games. Joe Ryan, pitching for Minnesota, allowed three runs over 5 1/3 innings, throwing a total of 101 pitches.

In an early display of Misiorowski's dominance, Willi Castro struck out in the first inning after twisting awkwardly to avoid a fastball that clocked in at 95.5 mph. Misiorowski's ability to consistently throw pitches exceeding 100 mph was evident; he delivered 29 pitches at that speed, including 12 that reached or surpassed 101 mph.

Looking ahead, Josรฉ Quintana (4-2, 3.55 ERA) is set to take the mound for Milwaukee on Saturday against Minnesota's Simeon Woods Richardson (2-3, 5.13), as both teams prepare for another exciting matchup.
