California Father Catches Therapist Abusing 14-Year-Old Autistic Son During In-Home Session, DA Reports
During a routine check-in, a father discovered an alarming situation involving his 14-year-old son with autism and an in-home therapist. The incident occurred when Salvador Armando Arriaga, 32, was caught in the act of molestation in the boy's bedroom, as reported by the Orange County District Attorney.
Arriaga, employed by Behavioral Health Works in Anaheim, was found in a walk-in closet with the boy, who had his pants down. The father, preoccupied with caring for another child at home, decided to see how the therapy session was progressing, leading to this shocking revelation.

Upon entering the room, the father witnessed the therapist and his son in a compromising position. Prosecutors detailed that when confronted, Arriaga attempted to escape through a window but ultimately fled on foot, prompting the father to alert law enforcement.
Later, when Arriaga returned to the scene to speak with police, he had reportedly changed his shirt, raising further suspicions. He has pleaded not guilty to charges of committing a lewd and lascivious act on a child under 14.

If convicted, Arriaga faces a potential sentence ranging from 25 years to life in prison. He is currently being held on a $1 million bail while awaiting further legal proceedings.
