Diddy’s Attorney Denies Pardon Discussions with Trump
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ lead attorney has publicly refuted claims made by his own legal team regarding discussions with the Trump administration about a possible pardon.
Last month, the founder of Bad Boy Records was convicted on two counts of prostitution, while he was acquitted of more serious charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. Since then, he has faced repeated denials for bail.

Despite assertions from Combs’ legal representatives that they had reached out to President Trump’s team concerning a pardon, the president has indicated a reluctance to grant such clemency.
In a surprising turn, attorney Marc Agnifilo contradicted statements made by fellow lawyer Nicole Westmoreland, claiming he was unaware of any pardon request. “I have nothing to do with a possible pardon,” Agnifilo stated during an interview.

He elaborated, “I have had conversations with nobody. I have not spoken to the president. I have not spoken to anybody who speaks to the president about Sean Combs. I have not.”
Agnifilo also mentioned that he had only informed Combs about the pardon discussions circulating in the media. “He says, ‘Go tell him [Trump] that I need a pardon. Go tell him I deserve a pardon.’ That’s what he said,” he added, highlighting the rapper's desire for clemency.

This statement starkly contrasts Westmoreland’s earlier comments to CNN, where she claimed that the legal team had indeed “reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon.”
President Trump recently shared his ambivalence regarding a potential pardon for Combs during an interview, stating, “Well, he was essentially, I guess, sort of half innocent.” He reflected on their past relationship, noting, “I got along with him great, and seemed like a nice guy.” However, he acknowledged that Combs had made “some terrible statements” during Trump’s presidential campaign, complicating his feelings about the situation.

When asked if he was leaning towards a “no” regarding a pardon for Combs, Trump replied, “I would say so.”
Meanwhile, Agnifilo hinted at Combs’ plans for a musical comeback, revealing that the rapper is organizing a concert at Madison Square Garden for when he regains his freedom.
