Florida Panthers Parade Set to Exceed $2 Million in Costs
The Florida Panthers are gearing up for a grand celebration this Sunday in Fort Lauderdale, marking their recent Stanley Cup victory with a large parade.
Projected expenses for the event are estimated to surpass $2 million, with the hockey team covering approximately 90% of the costs.
In addition to the team's contribution, the City of Fort Lauderdale will also provide financial support.
Last year, the Panthers incurred similar expenses for their championship celebration.
The city has committed around $200,000 to ensure adequate police and fire services along the parade route.
While last year's security costs totaled just under $400,000, this year's bill is anticipated to rise to about $580,000 due to expectations of a larger crowd.
