Jaxson Dart's Toll Road Confusion Sparks Viral Moment
New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, originally from Utah, is navigating more than just the complexities of the NFL. Having played college football at USC and Ole Miss, he’s now facing the unfamiliar world of toll roads in New Jersey.
Despite his impressive background as a four-star recruit and solid performances for both the Trojans and Rebels, Dart's experience with tolls is virtually nonexistent. Utah's sparse toll roads and Mississippi's complete absence of them left him unprepared for the intricacies of the New Jersey Turnpike.
As he adjusts to life in the Northeast, Dart encountered a learning curve regarding the E-ZPass system. A video capturing his bewilderment while driving on the Turnpike went viral over the weekend, showcasing his candid confusion.

“I don’t know what this stuff means – these ticket, E-ZPasses,” Dart remarked as he approached a toll booth, clearly unsure of his options.
Faced with the choice between the E-ZPass lane and a traditional ticket, he admitted, “I just drive by it every time.” This admission highlights his inexperience with such systems.
Financially, Dart is in a good position to handle any toll fees that may accumulate. With a rookie contract valued at approximately $16.9 million, he can afford to pay whatever charges come his way.

If Dart decides to settle in East Rutherford, he may find that sticking to local routes could minimize his toll expenses significantly.
On the field, Dart made an impressive preseason debut against the Buffalo Bills, completing 12 of 19 passes for 154 yards and a touchdown. The Giants secured a 34-25 victory, marking a promising start to his professional career.
