Jordan Addison's DUI Trial Scheduled for Next Month
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison will stand trial next month for a DUI charge stemming from an incident in California. The jury trial is set to commence on July 15, as indicated by court documents.
At 23 years old, Addison has pleaded not guilty to charges of driving under the influence and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08% or higher, following his arraignment in December.
On July 12, 2024, law enforcement discovered Addison asleep at the wheel of a Rolls-Royce on a Los Angeles freeway, raising serious concerns about his condition while driving.
Despite the ongoing legal issues, the Vikings and the NFL have not yet imposed any disciplinary actions against him. Addison has publicly stated his willingness to accept any consequences that may arise from this situation.
Prior to this incident, Addison faced legal trouble in 2023 when he was cited for speeding and reckless driving in St. Paul, Minnesota. Reports indicated he was clocked driving his Lamborghini at 140 mph in a 55 mph zone.
In his two seasons with the Vikings, Addison has made a significant impact on the field, recording 133 receptions for 1,786 yards and scoring 19 touchdowns.
