Lynx Dominate Aces 109-78, Extend Home Winning Streak

Napheesa Collier's 25 points and Courtney Williams' 23 propelled the Minnesota Lynx to a commanding 109-78 victory over the Las Vegas Aces on Friday night, marking their 14th straight win at home.

Williams showcased her shooting prowess, hitting 10 of 12 attempts from the field, including three of four from beyond the arc. Collier complemented her performance with a solid 7 for 12 shooting, converting 10 of 13 free throws while also grabbing nine rebounds.

Bridget Carleton contributed 14 points, while Kayla McBride and Jessica Shepard added 13 and 10 points, respectively. Shepard also recorded a double-double with 10 rebounds, helping the Lynx improve to a remarkable 22-4 record and extend their winning streak to four games.

Leading 51-35 at halftime, Minnesota exploded for 34 points in the third quarter, establishing an 85-61 advantage heading into the final period. The Lynx's offensive efficiency was evident as they shot 9 for 20 from three-point range in the first three quarters and capitalized on free throw opportunities, finishing with 25 of 38 from the line and an overall shooting percentage of 54%.

With four minutes remaining in the game, the Lynx surpassed the century mark. Anastasiia Olairi Kosu made her mark by scoring on consecutive possessions in the closing minute, sealing Minnesota's largest lead of the night.

The Aces struggled on the road for the second consecutive night, managing only a 38% shooting rate. A'ja Wilson led Las Vegas with 15 points, while Jackie Young contributed 14.

A three-pointer from Chelsea Gray initially gave Las Vegas a brief lead at 14-12, but Minnesota responded with a decisive 15-4 run to close out the first quarter, highlighted by two three-pointers from Carleton and five points from Collier.

As the second quarter progressed, Williams, McBride, and Collier all connected from long range, solidifying a comfortable halftime lead for the Lynx.

Next up, the Lynx will face Atlanta on Sunday, while the Aces prepare for their third road game in four days against Dallas.
