Napheesa Collier led the charge with 23 points, while Kayla McBride contributed 20, propelling the Minnesota Lynx to a commanding 102-63 victory over the Connecticut Sun on Sunday. This defeat marks the Sun's ninth consecutive loss, deepening their struggles this season.

With a solid 10-point lead after the first quarter, the Lynx unleashed a relentless offensive surge, scoring the first 21 points of the second quarter. By halftime, they had established a significant 50-26 advantage. Collier was particularly dominant in the third quarter, netting 15 points as Minnesota outscored Connecticut 27-15.

Courtney Williams showcased her versatility for the Lynx, finishing with 12 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and two steals. The Lynx (14-2) maintained an impressive home record of 8-0, with 11 of their 12 players contributing to the scoreboard. The only player not to score was Karlie Samuelson, who suffered an ankle injury after just three minutes of play in the first half.

McBride's performance included five three-pointers, surpassing Kristi Tolliver to claim seventh place in league history with 653 career threes. In contrast, the Sun struggled offensively, with reserve Aneesah Morrow leading their efforts with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and five steals. Olivia Nelson-Ododa added another 10 points for Connecticut (2-15), who managed only a 35% shooting percentage.

As the game progressed, most starters from both teams rested during the fourth quarter. For the Lynx, reserve Natisha Hiedeman stepped up with 10 points and seven assists, contributing to a total of 27 assists on 36 baskets for the team.

Looking ahead, Minnesota will host Indiana on Tuesday in a bid to defend its Commissioner's Cup title. Notably, this matchup will not impact the regular-season standings.
