Jun 24 2025

Noah Syndergaard has officially joined the Chicago White Sox, signing a minor league contract as he seeks to revive his career.

On Tuesday, the White Sox confirmed that the 32-year-old right-hander has reported to their spring training facility in Glendale, Arizona.

Syndergaard's last appearance in Major League Baseball came in 2023, when he was released by the Cleveland Guardians. That season, he recorded a 2-6 record with a 6.50 ERA across 18 starts split between the Guardians and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Known as "Thor" due to his striking long blond hair and towering 6-foot-6 stature, Syndergaard made his MLB debut with the New York Mets in 2015, where he notably secured a win in a World Series start during his rookie year. His career took a turn following injuries, which have hindered his performance over the years.

Throughout his eight seasons in the majors, Syndergaard has compiled a record of 59 wins and 47 losses, along with a career ERA of 3.71.
