ARLINGTON, Texas – Adolis García stepped up in the 11th inning, delivering a two-out RBI single that clinched his sixth career walk-off hit and propelled the Texas Rangers to a 5-4 victory over the Chicago White Sox on Saturday night.

With the game on the line, García connected on the first pitch from reliever Tyler Alexander, sending the ball to the center field wall and scoring automatic runner Evan Carter. Remarkably, this was the only hit Alexander allowed during his three innings of work.

On the mound, Jacob deGrom pitched six innings, allowing two runs while striking out six batters. He exited after throwing 82 pitches, leaving the game with a 2-1 deficit. Jacob Latz (1-0) secured the win for Texas, throwing two hitless innings and striking out three.

Chicago's Kyle Teel broke deGrom's impressive 15-inning scoreless streak with a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning. Luis Robert Jr. followed up with an RBI single, giving the White Sox a 2-0 advantage.

In response, Josh Smith led off the fifth inning with a double against reliever Brandon Eisert and later scored on Corey Seager's one-out double, narrowing the gap to 2-1. Smith's performance marked his sixth consecutive multi-hit game, contributing significantly with two hits and two runs scored.

The seventh inning saw Wyatt Langford single off Grant Taylor, followed by Seager walking for a career-high ninth straight game. Marcus Semien then doubled, tying the game at 2-2. A wild pitch allowed Seager to score, giving Texas a brief 3-2 lead.

However, Mike Tauchman responded for Chicago with an RBI single in the eighth inning, and Michael A. Taylor's pinch-hit double in the ninth tied the game at 4-4.

White Sox rookie Mike Vasil made an impressive showing, throwing a career-high 71 pitches in just his second start, managing to strand six runners over four scoreless innings.

In a tense moment during the 10th inning, Alexander loaded the bases with two outs but struck out Seager on a check swing, leading to Rangers manager Bruce Bochy's 88th career ejection.

DeGrom has maintained a remarkable streak, not allowing more than two runs in any of his last 11 starts since April 11 against Seattle, surpassing his previous best while with the Mets.

Looking ahead, Texas has yet to announce a starter for Sunday’s series finale, while Chicago will send RHP Aaron Civale (1-2, 4.91 ERA) to the mound for his first start since being acquired from Milwaukee on Friday.
