Rangers Dominate Orioles 10-2 with García's Four RBIs
On Tuesday night, the Texas Rangers showcased their offensive prowess, defeating the Baltimore Orioles 10-2. Adolis García emerged as a key player, driving in four runs, while Jacob deGrom continued his impressive form, securing his fifth consecutive win.
Alejandro Osuna made his mark by hitting his first career home run, contributing to a game that saw Texas break a streak of four consecutive extra-inning games, three of which ended in losses.
DeGrom (9-2, 2.13 ERA) delivered a solid performance, striking out six batters over six innings. This outing marked his 14th straight start where he pitched at least five innings and allowed two runs or fewer, extending his franchise record and establishing the longest active streak in Major League Baseball this season.
Despite allowing a two-run homer to Gary Sánchez in the fourth inning, which barely cleared the wall, deGrom maintained control throughout the game. Just six nights prior, he had nearly achieved a no-hitter against the same team.
García's pivotal two-run single in the third inning put the Rangers ahead for good. He later scored on Jonah Heim's single, pushing the score to 3-0 against rookie Brandon Young (0-3). In the fifth inning, García struck again with another two-run single, following Osuna's earlier homer.
Jacob Latz closed out the game with three strikeouts over three innings, earning his first career save. Meanwhile, Sánchez's homer was the only highlight for Baltimore after a near-miss foul pop earlier in the fourth that fell just short of first baseman Josh Smith's reach.
In a notable moment, Justin Foscue broke an extensive slump with a pinch-hit double in the eighth inning, driving in two runs and ending his 0-for-44 streak—the longest in Rangers history.
Looking ahead, Nathan Eovaldi (4-3, 1.87 ERA) is set to pitch for Texas in the series finale on Wednesday night. This will be only his second start since returning from a month-long stint on the injured list due to elbow inflammation. Tomoyuki Sugano (6-4, 4.06) will take the mound for Baltimore.
