With the arrival of football season, Baltimore Ravens fans are buzzing with anticipation as they prepare for the team's first preseason game since January.
On Thursday, M&T Bank Stadium will be filled with supporters as the Ravens face off against the Indianapolis Colts, marking the official kickoff of the season.
Although key players like Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, and Roquan Smith will not be on the field, the enthusiasm among fans remains undeterred. Purple pride is on full display.
"I'm ready for football, let's go Ravens," exclaimed fan Juju, embodying the spirit of the crowd.
"We ready," added Farro Louve, another devoted supporter. "Our whole D-line is ready, linebackers are ready, Ravens ready, man."
As the day approaches, fans are gearing up to celebrate the return of football in Baltimore.
"We're probably going to try to do a little pre-gaming, tailgating, and then we're going to go to the game," said Tiffany Thomas, sharing her plans for the evening.
Even though it’s just preseason, many fans believe this game holds significance, especially for bragging rights.
"I know my Ravens are going to win and I love him very much – he's a Colts fan – but we're going to win tonight. I'm super excited about that," Thomas declared confidently.
Optimism fills the air as fans express their expectations for a successful season, with aspirations for a Super Bowl title.
Last season, Baltimore clinched the AFC North title and advanced to the AFC Divisional round before suffering a narrow 27-25 defeat against the Buffalo Bills.
"I think they're going to do awesome," Juju remarked. "Baltimore is tough, Baltimore is hard, they got it. And they are going to kill the Steelers. I want them to wipe the Steelers out."
"I'm looking for us to go to the Super Bowl, man," said Toshio Williams. "We've got the players; I'm just hoping these new people they drafted are broke enough and hungry enough to produce enough to make the team, you know what I mean?"
"Shout out to the Ravens, man, we're going to do our thing this year," Louve added enthusiastically. "(Lamar Jackson) is going to take us to the Super Bowl. Everybody, get your costumes ready because we're going to the Big Show."
