"He ripped my cucumber off": Rugby Player's Penis Nearly Severed in Tackle

During a recent match, rugby league player Haydn Peacock experienced a severe injury that left him with a partial dismemberment. The incident occurred while he was playing for AS Carcassonne in France.

Peacock, who has since recovered, shared his experience with a mix of humor and disbelief. His account of the event is graphic, prompting the use of playful substitutions for explicit terms.

"When we played the other week, their centre pretty much ripped my [cucumber] off," he recounted to Guy Williams, a journalist and former player who operates the website French Footy.

Originally from Australia, Peacock holds a British passport and represents Ireland on the international stage. The injury occurred when a player from St Esteve Catalans Dragons made a desperate grab at his groin.

After the tackle, Peacock required 11 stitches to address the damage. "Think about that for a second, 11 stitches," he remarked, emphasizing the severity of the situation.

Describing the moment leading up to the injury, he said, "I took the ball off the scrum and made a half-break, and their centre came across from the inside and reached out in a last-ditch effort and got a hold of my [turnip] with one hand and pulled me down."

Despite the painful incident, Peacock continued to play, only realizing the extent of his injury at halftime. "I checked on it and the skin is half ripped off, and I was like, where's the doctor?" he recalled.

He added, "In all of my career, I've never heard of anyone having anything like that happen - 11 stitches in the [butternut squash]."

Even after such a tough encounter, Peacock has no plans to wear protective gear in future matches. "I remember I had to strap it all up for the next game...the coach wanted me to go out and buy a cup, but I'm not going to play with a cup," he stated confidently.

After having the stitches removed, he concluded, "It's all sweet. No dramas." His resilience and ability to joke about the incident highlight his tough spirit as a player.
