San Francisco Marathon Triggers Rolling Road Closures

Rolling road closures will affect several streets in San Francisco as the annual marathon unfolds this Sunday.

Starting just after midnight, closures will initiate on the Embarcadero, with traffic restrictions moving northbound along this key route.

The full marathon kicks off at 5:15 a.m. from the intersection of Embarcadero and Market. Following this, the half-marathon is set to begin at 6:30 a.m., the 10K at 7 a.m., and the 5K at 9 a.m. Notably, the SFM Chargel Ultramarathon commenced at 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, adding to the weekend's festivities.

Additionally, the "City Half" marathon will start at 8:30 a.m. from MLK Jr. Drive within Golden Gate Park, further contributing to the morning's activity.

Participants and spectators are advised to plan their travel routes accordingly, as these closures may impact access to various neighborhoods and landmarks throughout the city.
