Taylor Swift Fans Take a Shot at NFL Quarterbacks Amid Engagement

Sep 14 2025

Fans of Taylor Swift turned the pop star's recent engagement to Travis Kelce into a playful jab at several NFL quarterbacks, highlighting their lack of Super Bowl wins.

At Arrowhead Stadium on September 14, a group of supporters donned costumes resembling Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. They displayed a sign that read: “Taylor has more rings than Josh, Lamar and Burrow combined.” This pointed dig targeted Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills, Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens, and Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals, all of whom have yet to secure a Super Bowl ring in their careers.

As the game against the Philadelphia Eagles progressed into halftime, Swift was notably absent from the crowd. The matchup served as a rematch of the 2025 Super Bowl, where the Eagles triumphed over the Chiefs 40-22, marking the last occasion Swift cheered for Kelce in person. Earlier this month, she missed the Chiefs' season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo, Brazil, on September 5. Despite the Chiefs' loss with a score of 21-27, Kelce managed to score his first touchdown of the 2025-2026 season during that game.

Swift and Kelce, both 35 years old, announced their engagement last month after two years of dating. In a joint Instagram post on August 26, they shared their exciting news with photos from the proposal at Kelce’s home in Missouri. The images captured Kelce on one knee in a flower-filled garden, showcasing Swift’s stunning old mine brilliant cut diamond ring.

A source revealed to Us Weekly that “Travis is incredibly thoughtful. He had a clear vision of what he wanted.” The insider noted that he chose the ring almost entirely on his own, demonstrating his deep understanding of Swift’s preferences for timeless and classic designs.

Kelce’s attentiveness to Swift’s personal style influenced his decision-making process regarding the ring. “He considered everything about what she’d like and want,” the source explained, adding that he paid close attention to the jewelry she frequently wears for inspiration.

Just two days after announcing their engagement, Swift and Kelce made their first public appearance as an engaged couple at the University of Cincinnati vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers game at Arrowhead Stadium. They enjoyed the game from Kelce’s private suite, where Swift proudly displayed her sparkling engagement ring.

On September 3, during an episode of his podcast “New Heights” with brother Jason Kelce, Travis expressed his excitement about their engagement. “I appreciate everybody that reached out and sent something and all the posts and all the excitement that’s been going on,” he said. “It’s been really fun telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with.”

Travis also mentioned that he “still get[s] giddy” when referring to Swift as his fiancée. Meanwhile, while Travis is back on the football field, Swift is gearing up for the release of her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, set to debut on October 3.
