Travis Kelce Responds to Viral X-Ray Image: "Down to the Knees?"

During a lively episode of the "Bussin' With the Boys" podcast, Travis Kelce found himself discussing an unexpected topic: his anatomy. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, joined hosts Will Compton and Taylor Lewan to share insights about his knee injury from his rookie season in 2013.

As Kelce recounted the details of his injury, which necessitated around ten MRIs, producer Sherman interjected with a viral tweet that claimed to show an MRI scan of Kelce's impressive endowment. The moment took a humorous turn when Kelce exclaimed, "Jesus!" upon seeing the image.

"That was your x-ray, right?" Lewan teased, prompting Kelce to quip, "No. Down to the knees?" He then added, "Who the f*** is this guy?" The playful banter continued as Lewan pointed fingers at Sherman for the unexpected distraction.

Kelce also reflected on the challenges he faced during his rookie year, revealing that his teammates had already started ribbing him before he even stepped onto the field. "Everybody in the building was calling the MRI machine 'the Kelce,'" he recalled. "Like, 'Oh, you’re going to get a Kelce. Alright nice.' I’m a rookie, haven’t even played a snap."

Ultimately, Kelce underwent microfracture surgery, a procedure that involves drilling holes in cartilage bones to stimulate healing. This surgery sidelined him for about six to seven months, significantly impacting his debut season.

Fast forward to today, and Kelce has established himself as one of the most formidable tight ends in NFL history. However, he candidly acknowledged that age is beginning to take its toll. "As I’m getting older, I can’t necessarily do a lot of things that I’ve been able to do when I was a younger player," he admitted. "So, it’s creating even more frustration for me in certain times."

Despite these challenges, Kelce remains committed to mentoring younger players navigating their own paths in the league. "But at the same time, I can still be that voice of reason for a lot of these young guys that are in unfamiliar territory," he stated.

Yet, he expressed disappointment over his declining athletic abilities outside of football. "I used to be able to f***ing throw a goddamn baseball," he lamented. "I used to be able to f***ing hum it, like, 90 [miles per hour], dude. I used to really have a f***ing cannon over here. Now I can’t even f***ing raise my arm over my head."
