Rhys Hoskins showcased his power on Sunday, hitting a home run and a double while driving in two runs, leading the Milwaukee Brewers to a 9-8 victory over the Minnesota Twins. This win marked the completion of a three-game sweep for the Brewers.

Brice Turang contributed significantly with a three-run homer, and Caleb Durbin added three hits to the Brewers' impressive offensive display. With this victory, Milwaukee has now won four consecutive games and stands at a season-high eight games above .500, boasting a record of 43-35.

On the other side, Byron Buxton shone for the Twins, hitting two home runs and extending his streak to six homers in the last six games. Teammates Brooks Lee and Carlos Correa each recorded four hits, but the Twins faced a tough loss, marking their fifth consecutive series defeat and 13 losses in their last 16 games.

The game unfolded under a sweltering sun, with both teams combining for 35 hits and utilizing 14 pitchers throughout the contest. Brewers starter Quinn Priester was removed after 76 pitches over 3 1/3 innings. The win was credited to Rob Zastryzny (2-1), who managed to pitch two-thirds of an inning effectively.

Rookie David Festa (1-2) struggled on the mound for the Twins, allowing eight runs on 12 hits across 4 2/3 innings. Milwaukee initially held a commanding 9-3 lead in the fifth inning, but the Twins fought back, highlighted by Ty France's two-run homer in the eighth that narrowed the gap to 9-8.

In a tense moment, Brewers closer Trevor Megill entered with runners on the corners and two outs in the eighth inning. He struck out Jonah Bride to escape the threat and continued his dominance in the ninth, securing his 17th save by getting Matt Wallner to pop out and striking out Trevor Plouffe.

The Twins have struggled throughout June, entering this game with a team ERA of 6.46, the highest in Major League Baseball. Looking ahead, Minnesota will begin a four-game series against Seattle on Monday, with RHP Bailey Ober (4-4, 4.54 ERA) taking the mound. Meanwhile, Milwaukee returns home to face Pittsburgh, featuring RHP Chad Patrick (3-7, 3.50) as their starting pitcher.
