Soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo is officially engaged to Georgina Rodríguez, marking a significant milestone in their eight-year relationship. The announcement came through Rodríguez's Instagram on August 11, where she proudly displayed an impressive engagement ring.
“Yes I do,” Rodríguez declared in her post, adding, “In this and in all my lives.” The image captured her hand adorned with the sparkling ring, resting atop Ronaldo's hand, symbolizing their deep connection.
The couple first made headlines in January 2017 when they appeared together at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Germany, publicly confirming their romance. Speculation about their marital status intensified in July 2024 when Ronaldo referred to Rodríguez as “his wife” during an Instagram advertisement. “When I’m not training in the club, I like to work with my wife at home because I can push her and she can push me, too,” he stated.
Ronaldo and Rodríguez are parents to twins Eva and Mateo, aged 8, daughter Alana, 7, and twins Bella and Ángel, born in April 2022. Tragically, shortly after the younger twins' birth, Ronaldo shared the heartbreaking news that Ángel had passed away during childbirth. “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away,” he wrote on Instagram. “It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel.
