In a thrilling finish, Agustín Ramírez delivered a crucial run-scoring single in the 10th inning, propelling the Miami Marlins to an 8-7 victory against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday. The win marked the Marlins' sixth consecutive triumph, showcasing their resilience in a tightly contested matchup.

Arizona appeared to be in control, leading 7-3 as they entered the eighth inning. However, Miami's Otto Lopez ignited the comeback with a two-run homer off Jalen Beeks, narrowing the gap to 7-5. Following that, Liam Hicks contributed with a run-scoring single, bringing the score to 7-6. The ninth inning saw Heriberto Hernández tie the game with a sacrifice fly after Dane Myers had singled and stolen two bases.

Ramírez's decisive hit came against Juan Morillo (0-2) in the 10th, allowing Miami to take the lead. Anthony Bender (2-5) then stepped up, delivering two flawless innings to secure the victory for the Marlins.

On the other side, Ketel Marte shone for Arizona, hitting a home run and driving in four RBIs during his second home game following an emotional road trip to Chicago. His performance was a bright spot amid a challenging outing for Arizona's starter Brandon Pfaadt, who struggled early on. Pfaadt allowed two runs in the first inning, including one due to a fielding error by shortstop Geraldo Perdomo.

Despite striking out three batters in succession, Pfaadt finished with three runs allowed—two earned—on five hits over five innings, striking out seven. Meanwhile, Miami's Sandy Alcantara faced difficulties as well, surrendering a run on Pavin Smith's sacrifice fly in the first and five more in the fourth inning, highlighted by Marte's three-run homer that pushed Arizona ahead 6-3. Alcantara concluded his outing with seven runs allowed on ten hits across six innings.

In a pivotal moment during the ninth inning, Myers was initially ruled out on his steal of third base, but the call was overturned upon review. He later scored easily on Hernández's sacrifice fly to right field.

Marte's performance also marked a personal milestone as he became the third player in Arizona history to reach 500 career RBIs, joining notable names like Luis Gonzalez and Paul Goldschmidt.

Looking ahead, Miami's RHP Cal Quantrill (3-7, 5.56 ERA) is set to face RHP Eduardo Rodriguez (3-4, 5.40) in the series finale on Sunday.
