New Mural Celebrates Eagles' Super Bowl LIX Triumph

Jun 17 2025

Jalen Hurts' iconic touchdown pass to DeVonta Smith, dubbed "The Dagger," alongside interceptions by Zach Baun and Cooper DeJean, now adorns a striking mural celebrating the Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl LIX win this past February.

Crafted by artist David McShane, this mural complements his previous work honoring the Super Bowl LII champions, featuring notable players like Nick Foles, Zach Ertz, Brandon Graham, and Jason Kelce.

Located on the wall of the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame, just off Grant Avenue near Northeast Philadelphia Airport, the mural stands as a testament to the team's legacy.

A formal dedication ceremony is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Tuesday, with live coverage available on CBS Philadelphia's YouTube channel.

"When the Super Bowl happened this February and the Eagles won again, it was kind of a no-brainer to add to it, the next slice of the championship on this sort of ongoing mural," McShane remarked, highlighting the mural's evolving nature.

The artwork also features the Lombardi Trophy, a moment capturing Nick Sirianni being drenched in Gatorade with nearly three minutes left in the game, and Saquon Barkley sprinting down the field.

"The beauty of it is that it's a nice, long, blank wall that can be added to as each championship happens," McShane noted, envisioning future additions to this vibrant tribute.
