Saquon Barkley Takes Center Stage on EA Sports' Madden 26 Cover
Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has been announced as the cover athlete for EA Sports' Madden 26, making history as only the second player from the franchise to achieve this honor.
The standard edition of the game will showcase Barkley executing his remarkable backwards hurdle against the Jacksonville Jaguars, a highlight from Week 9 of the Eagles' triumphant Super Bowl LIX season.
In addition, the deluxe edition will feature a close-up of Barkley clad in his Eagles midnight green uniform, capturing the essence of game day.
With a release-day rating of 99 overall, Barkley becomes the first offensive player from the Eagles to enter the prestigious "99 Club," a notable achievement in the gaming community.

"Starring on the cover of Madden NFL 26 and being named to the Madden NFL '99 Club' are both dreams come true," Barkley expressed in a statement. "I'm grateful to my teammates, coaches, and Eagles fans for their support, and I can't wait to hit the field again to give Madden players more highlight-reel moments in Madden NFL 26."
He joins Donovan McNabb as the only other Eagle to appear on a Madden cover, with McNabb previously featured on Madden 06.
Barkley's rookie season in Philadelphia was nothing short of historic. He shattered records by accumulating 2,504 rushing yards across all games, including playoffs, and surpassed LeSean McCoy's franchise record with 2,005 rushing yards during the regular season. His accolades include being named NFL Offensive Player of the Year, earning Pro Bowl selections, and receiving All-Pro honors.
In a local celebration of Barkley's achievement, Geno's Steaks in South Philadelphia has rebranded itself as "Steakquon's," complete with a large banner showcasing Barkley's iconic hurdle.

This transformation highlights the community's pride in Barkley's accomplishments and his impact on the Eagles' legacy.
