UC Davis Athletics Introduces Lake Tahoe-Inspired Alternate Jerseys
UC Davis athletes will don a striking new look this fall, showcasing alternate jerseys inspired by the stunning vistas of Lake Tahoe.
Dubbed Bold Aqua, the jerseys feature a vibrant blue hue complemented by an updated "CA" logo, elegantly framed by the outline of the lake itself.
This initiative aims to spotlight the university's Tahoe Environmental Research Center, emphasizing its commitment to environmental stewardship.
"In Athletics, we aspire to reflect the excellence of our institution's pioneering work, including the Aggies' legacy of innovation and global impact at Lake Tahoe," stated Rocko DeLuca, athletic director at UC Davis.
Situated at Lake Tahoe, the Tahoe Environmental Research Center plays a crucial role in supporting research initiatives in the region. As part of this jersey collaboration, student-athletes will engage with facilities on the north and west shores for educational purposes and team-building retreats.
The excitement surrounding the new kits was captured in a promotional video featuring the school's football and soccer teams.
While officials confirmed that these alternate jerseys will be worn during a series of Tahoe-themed games this fall, specific dates for these events have yet to be announced.
