Jason Kelce Celebrates Brother Travis and Taylor Swift’s Engagement
Jason Kelce expressed his joy regarding his brother Travis Kelce's engagement to Taylor Swift, a moment that has captured public attention.
On the evening of August 26, shortly after the couple announced their engagement via a joint Instagram post, Jason, 37, showed his support by liking the announcement. This gesture was echoed by the official Instagram account of their podcast, "New Heights," which also liked the post before sharing a series of congratulatory messages on its Stories.
One of the posts featured a romantic engagement photo of Swift and Travis surrounded by roses, with the caption “Congrats to @taylorswift @killatrav” and the phrase “NEW NEWS” prominently displayed.

In a nostalgic nod to their past discussions, a second Story highlighted a segment from a 2023 podcast episode where Jason and Travis reminisced about Swift. The clip included Travis humorously recalling feeling “butt hurt” for not being able to speak with Swift after attending one of her Eras Tour concerts. The Story was labeled “HOW IT STARTED…”
The final Story showcased an enlarged version of the engagement announcement with the caption “HOW IT’S GOING,” further celebrating the couple's milestone.
Jason's enthusiastic response came just hours after his wife, Kylie Kelce, also reacted positively to the news. Kylie, 33, liked the post that humorously referenced their respective professions: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” This playful remark highlighted Swift's lyrical prowess alongside Travis's NFL fame.

Fans eagerly anticipate the next episode of "New Heights," set to release on August 27, where they hope to hear more insights directly from Travis about his engagement.
While many family members have kept their reactions subtle, Ed Kelce, Travis's father, shared details about the proposal during an interview with a local news outlet. He revealed that the proposal occurred nearly two weeks prior in Missouri at Lee’s Summit and that Travis had been planning it for months.
Ed recounted his surprise when he received a FaceTime call from Travis and Swift to share their exciting news. “I was at a [Philadelphia] Eagles practice… had 60,000 people at a public practice two weeks ago on a Sunday night,” he explained. “As soon as I saw the FaceTime, I knew what they were going to say.”

Numerous celebrities have publicly congratulated the couple, including Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany. Patrick shared the engagement announcement on his Instagram Story with three red-heart emojis, while Brittany expressed her happiness for the couple, stating, “Two of the most genuine people meet & fall in love. Just so happy for these two.”
